According to the U.S. patents Ole Kirk Christiansen didn't paten his own invention, lego. His son Godtfred Kirk Christiansen did. That surprises me because Godtfred was the one who originally didn't want to buy the plastic making machine, but he had it panted? Weird.

Cool creation of the week (a-mazing flag)
Recently I have been experimenting with different ways to make a lego mosaic, and have come up with my favorite, which I titled the Mazeaic. You swirl the picture and end up with a product like this.
